What I do now
AI Engineer @ Etiya — 2026 → present
predict()
Prediction models
Churn probability, customer lifetime value and call prediction on large telco datasets — built with modern AI/ML libraries.
agent.run()
Agentic AI workflows
Agent pipelines that speed up model development, evaluation and iteration — my full-time obsession since 2025.
ship()
Product engineering
Next.js applications delivered end-to-end for multiple companies — with 18 years of architecture behind every build.
02
Career history — 18 seasons
2008 — 2010 ACADEMY
Software Developer
Birim — Hospital Information Management System
- → Windows Forms applications talking over .NET Remoting.
- → Designed and optimized database architecture for 10M+ patient records — schemas, indexing, keys and constraints.
signature move — schema surgery on live hospital databases — no downtime allowed.
.NETWinFormsDatabase design
2011 — Loan spell ABERTAY, SCOTLAND
MSc, Game Development & Technology — Abertay University. A detour into game tech that never really left my code.
2012 — 2013 RETURN
Team Lead Developer
Birim — back from Scotland, into the lead seat
- → Evaluated hospital requirements, defined solutions, coordinated development, managed testing and releases.
signature move — translating doctor-speak into specs, on the ward floor.
Team leadershipRelease management
2013 — 2018 TRANSFER → LITUM
Solution Architect & Team Lead
Litum — Enterprise Collaboration Platform
- → Led architecture of a collaboration platform used by large organizations including Schneider Electric — tasks, corporate comms, real-time messaging.
- → Managed cross-functional teams of up to 15 across backend, frontend, mobile and QA.
- → Built shared Angular + Ionic libraries reusing UI and business logic across web and mobile.
signature move — one shared codebase for web + mobile, years before it was standard.

2018 — 2020 POSITION CHANGE
Solution Architect
Litum — Indoor Localization (UWB)
- → UWB indoor positioning for real-time personnel tracking in healthcare environments.
- → Monte Carlo simulations, Kalman filtering and triangulation to cut multipath and reflection noise.
- → Node.js positioning engine, real-time Angular monitoring, event-driven signal replay for debugging.
signature move — replaying recorded signal streams to recalculate — every algorithm tweak proven against reality.
UWBKalman filteringNode.jsAngular
2020 — 2023 TRANSFER → MALLIQ
Location Intelligence Engineer
MallIQ — Outdoor Localization (Wi-Fi)
- → Location SDK embedded by retail brands — including Starbucks — to add location intelligence to their apps.
- → Wi-Fi fingerprinting and proximity detection for open-air malls; PostgreSQL pipelines that find stable access points and filter noisy ones.
- → Trained models on Vertex AI over fingerprint data; Monte Carlo simulations of shopper movement to stress-test detection logic.
signature move — reproduce yesterday’s signals, rerun the math, measure the improvement.

2023 — 2026 FREE AGENT
Software Engineer — Next.js & AI
Freelance — contract engagements, 6–12 months
- → Next.js web applications for multiple companies; an AI platform turning spreadsheets into collaborative meeting workflows.
- → Shopify e-commerce features and analytics consulting with Google Tag Manager.
- → FastAPI + Celery + Redis platforms; a NestJS / Next.js / Expo monorepo shipping web and mobile from one codebase.
- → Since 2025: agentic AI development and AI-assisted predictive modeling.
signature move — an agent-driven dev loop — spec to shipped feature in days, not sprints.

AI Engineer
Etiya — AI Modeling for Telco Predictions
- → Prediction models on large telco datasets — churn probability, customer lifetime value, call prediction.
- → Agentic AI workflows that make model development, evaluation and iteration faster.
signature move — agents that evaluate the models that predict the churn.

Origin story
❯ cat origin.txt
It started with a 486 and MS-DOS — breaking the system just to get SWOS running, then figuring out how to fix it. That break-fix-understand loop became a career: 18 years of building software with real-world impact, from 10M-record hospital databases to indoor positioning engines to AI prediction models. The stack keeps changing. The curiosity hasn't.
